Hardware

Note: Hardware letter will be used in steps below.

Step 1

3D Printing

3D print the body sections and parts using the STL / 3MF files. See our FAQ page for frequently asked questions about 3D printing the files.

Note: The 3MF files have pre-loaded slicer settings, that can be used as a starting point and adjusted as needed for your printer.

Step 2

Gluing Sections Together

Apply super glue to the dowel holes.

Fully insert dowels into the holes.

Apply super glue to 3D print mating surfaces.

Press sections together.

Note: Hold together tightly to allow glue to set and parts to create a strong bond.

Slide the 3D printed Alignment Jig along the track to test that the parts are aligned well.

Important! Make sure to immediately remove the Alignment Jig from the tracks to prevent it from accidently bonding to the body (if any CA glue has seeped out of the seams).

Optional: Add some additional glue to the back center seam for additional strength.

Note: If the rails are not smooth you can sand them with a light grit (220) sandpaper. You can also use a few small dabs of clear grease so the Core will slide smoothly in the body tracks.

Step 3

Controls Module

Locate the single Black wire and 4-color (Red, Blue, Green, Black) wire bundle.

These 5 wires will go through the passage in the body shown below.

Feed the wires through the passage and pull through on the backside of the guitar body.

Feed the Output Jack through the output jack hole shown.

Secure the Controls Module to the body using QNTY 2 "A" screws.

Step 4

Output Jack

Remove the nut and washer and then feed the Output Jack through the 3D printed cover.

Add the washer.

Secure the Output Jack to the cover using the nut.

Secure the Output Jack to the body using QNTY 4 "B" screws.

Caution: Be careful not to over-tighten to prevent cracking the cover.

Step 5

Contacts Adapter

Secure the Latch Post to the Contacts Adapter using QNTY 2 "C" screws.

Step 6

Wiring

The Contacts Adapter has 5 slots to clip on the 5 metal tabs at the end of each wire.

Clip the tabs to the Contacts Adapter using the wiring diagram shown.

Important! Note the orientation of the Contacts Adapter to get the order of the wires correct.

Note: The Black wires can be put in either black wire location.

Position the Contacts Adapter on the body and secure with QNTY 4 "D" screws.

Caution: Be careful not to pinch the wires.

Step 7

Strap Posts

There are QNTY 2 Strap Posts "E" which come with a Square Nut, Rubber Washer, and Screw.

Insert the Square Nut into the slot on the back of the body.

Important! Ensure slot is free of any support material to ensure square nut will fully insert.

Insert the Strap Post and Rubber Washer into the hole in the body.

Fasten the Strap Post to the body.

Repeat these steps for the other Strap Post.

Congratulations!

Your Guitar Body is Complete :)
